Yukito Ousama is the main protagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! Underground. He is the current leader of the Xyz Summon users, known as the Stars Gang, and the apparent "winner" of the Duel War that took place 2 years prior to the beginning series. He is currently working on a plan involving al 4 of the Duel Gangs.
Appearance
Yukito has black, spiky hair that covers most of his forehead and mostly points to the right. It is rather tame compared to other Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonists. He also known to have a "young face" that tends to attract admirers and has silver-colored eyes. Outside of school, where he wears the standard uniform for his school, Yukito wears a long sleeved, black button-up shirt, with his sleeves rolled up just past his elbows over a green shirt with blue pants and black boots. He also always wears a white scarf around his neck.
Etymology
As a continuing trend with Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonists, Yukito's name contains the syllable "Yu". His last name, "Ousama", means "king", relating to his role as leader of the Stars Gang.
Personality
Yukito is a usually cheery, upbeat person who tends to attract many friends and allies with his personality. He always wants to help someone and will go to great lengths to help out, whether they be enemy or not. He takes great pride in his role as leader of the Stars Gang, but respects the methods of the other gangs as well. He also believes that everyone should be treated equally and put on the same level, hence why he always wants his subordinates in the Stars Gang to refer to him by his name instead of "leader". That is also the reason he chooses to Duel for many jobs the Stars Gang takes on, instead of sending someone else to do it. These traits are often seen as strange and tend to throw members of other gangs off since none of the other leaders behave this way.
Yukito also seems to have some sort of complex about his age, as he is the youngest of the leaders, and when someone mentions this in some way, he tends to get irritated and usually violent.
Like majority of the people involved in the Duel Wars, he can't seem to remember in between the climax and the resolution of the incident, though he still seems scarred mentally and physically by what happened.
Yukito also has a habit of being very direct and to the point at times, as he dislikes being dishonest with people. For example, when he first met Himeji, he immediately described her face, as he puts it, "adorable, and makes me want to poke it until she gets mad".
Biography
History
3 Years prior to the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh! Underground, Yukito formed the Stars Gang along with his best friend, Masato Yamagami. Why he did this is currently unknown. He and the rest of the Stars Gang also participated in the Duel Wars 2 years before the start of the series and he came out as the winner of it. Around this time is also when Yukito lost his younger sister.
Stars v. Rings
At the beginning of the story, Yukito and Masato transfer to Sen Academy at the start of the first term and become acquainted with many of the students there. After a slip of the tongue by Masato, they end up recruiting Taira Kagami into their ranks of the Stars Gang. After the school day had ended, they took him to the Stars Gang's main base of operations: the abandoned area, Dullahan.

Abilities
Yukito is very adept when it comes to technology as he designed and created his own Duel Disk based on and image of an older model alone, though he eventually scraps this design in place of the Pro-Box-based version developed by the Hex Gang. by He is also physically strong as he is capable of taking down people almost twice his size. His usual fighting style involves a quick take down of his opponent without dealing much pain to them. Yukito also possesses the ability to use the "Imagine System, although the effects of the Imaginary System, at this time, have not been revealed. Like most other Underground Duelists, he has access to the Realist System, a program which allows them to bring monsters into real life, though Kou Terumi states that Yukito's is, as he puts it, "the same result, but a different source".
Deck

Yukito uses a Warfare Deck, based around creatures and animals in war-like forms and follows his main belief that Duels aren't just battles of power, but are wars of strategy. His main strategy usually involves the use of cards that increase ATK, increase his number of attacks, destroy cards on the field, and similar ideals. Yukito uses the Xyz Summon method, but is currently in the process of learning how to Ritual Summon. His main ace is Warfare Dragon: Inferno-Claw, which he makes use of the fact that it can easily take down any monster that has been Special Summoned, along with dealing damage. For currently unrevealed reasons, he soon stops the use of "Inferno-Claw", and begins to make use of his new and true ace card, Warfare Dragon: Nova-Blade Kaiser.
