"Crucial Memories Ahead! Meredith vs. Simon of Darkness" is the fifth chapter of Lost Memories' Quest.

Featured Duel: Meredith vs. Simon

The Duel is conducted as a Deck Master ante Duel. Meredith's Deck Master and ante is "Dragosorcerer Fitzgerald", while Simon's is "Arcaknight - Tsurugi of the Twisted Reality".

Turn 1: Simon

Simon activates "Twisted Reality Fusion", fusing his "Blade of the Twisted Reality" and "Arrow of the Twisted Reality" to Fusion Summon "Ken of the Twisted Reality" (2400/1800). He Sets 1 card, face-down, which triggers the Deck Master Effect of "Arcaknight - Tsurugi of the Twisted Reality", sending a random card from Meredith's hand to the GY ("Dragonwizard"), and he Sets another card face-down, which triggers the Deck Master Effect of "Arcaknight - Tsurugi of the Twisted Reality" yet again, sending a random card from Meredith's hand to the GY ("Dragosorcery: Third Eye"). He ends his turn.

Turn 2: Meredith

Meredith draws. She Normal Summons "Dragosorcerer Horace" (1600/800). She Sets 2 Spells/Traps, face-down.

Turn 3: Simon

Simon draws. He activates his Set "Illusion Created by Twisted Reality", preventing Meredith from Special Summoning in Simon's turn, since "Ken" is on the field, but Meredith activates her Set "Dragosorcery: Occult", negating the activation or effect of "Illusion Created by Twisted Reality", destroying it, and Special Summoning "Dragonwizard" from her GY. (1800/800). He uses the effect of "Ken", banishing "Dragonwizard" for one turn, but Meredith uses the Deck Master effect of "Dragosorcerer Fitzgerald", negating an effect that targets a Dragon Magic monster Meredith controls. "Ken" attacks "Horace", but Meredith activates her Set "Dragosorcery: Gorgon's Vision", preventing "Horace" from being destroyed by that battle. (Meredith: 4000→3200). Ken activates his Set "Instant Fusion Created by Twisted Reality" and banishes "Ken" he controls and "Arrow" from his GY to Fusion Summon "Arcaknight - Tsurugi of the Twisted Reality" (2800/2100). "Tsurugi" attacks and destroys "Horace" (Meredith: 3200→2000).

Turn 4: Meredith

Meredith draws. She Normal Summons "Dragosorcereress Ananke" (1500/1800). She uses "Ananke" and "Dragonwizard" to Relic Summon "Dragosorcerer Griffin" (2800/1600). She uses the effect of "Griffin", disposing a card from her Relic Zone to have it gain 1000 ATK and make an opponent's monster lose 1000 ATK for this turn only. (Griffin: 2800→3800/1600) (Tsurugi: 2800→1800/2100). She also uses the Deck Master effect of "Fitzgerald", since a Dragon Magic monster she controls gained 1000 or less ATK by a card effect, it doubles that ATK gain. (Griffin: 3800→4800/1600). "Fitzgerald" attacks "Tsurugi". (Simon: 4000→1000).

Since his Deck Master was destroyed, Meredith wins.
