Harmony (調波 Chouha) is a new monster type for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters card game created by Lyris1064. These monsters have a bright, spring green frame and are stored in the Extra Deck.

Harmony Monsters have Levels, and they can be Harmony Summoned during the user's Main Phase using a banished card(s) and a Phase(s) as Harmonized Material, both of which are listed on the Harmony Monster card. The Harmonized Material card(s) is then shuffled into the Deck.

Traits[]

  • For a Harmony Monster(s) to be Summoned to a field that does not belong to its owner, the player who is conducting the Summon must have a Harmony Monster that is banished and/or in his/her Extra Deck and/or Graveyard. (Harmony Monsters in the Extra Deck must be revealed to the opponent.)
  • Possession of a Harmony Monster cannot be switched from its owner unless its new controller has a Harmony Monster that is banished and/or in his/her Extra Deck and/or Graveyard. (Harmony Monsters in the Extra Deck must be revealed to the opponent.)

Example[]

  • Spring Breeze Harmony Dragon: 1 Spell Card + Standby Phase
    • Summon by shuffling 1 banished Spell Card into the Deck and skipping the next of your Standby Phases that begins.
  • Rainbow-Eyes ASMRist: 1 "Rainbow-Eyes" card + Standby Phase
    • Summon by shuffling 1 banished "Rainbow-Eyes" card into the Deck and skipping the next of your Standby Phases that begins.

Rulings[]

  • Immediately after beginning a Phase(s) used for a Harmony Summon, end that Phase(s) unless another card effect skips that Phase(s).
    • Harmonized Material Phases do accumulate. If the same Phase(s) is used for multiple Harmony Summons, then immediately end the next X+Y Phases that begin, where X is the number of Harmony Summons using that Phase attempted during a single turn, and after that turn, Y is the total number of Harmony Summons attempted using that Phase.
  • If the "Main Phase" is used for a Harmony Summon, then immediately end the next Main Phase 1 or 2 that begins.
  • The "End Phase" cannot be used for a Harmony Summon.

Trivia[]

  • The order of Phase importance for Harmony Summons would be, in descending order of Lyris' point of view:
    1. Draw Phase
    2. Main Phase 1
    3. Battle Phase
    4. Standby Phase
    5. Main Phase 2
    6. Main Phase (general)
