The Grade is an indicator unique to Upgrade Monsters and Upgrade Cards. An Upgrade Monster/Card has one of the four Statuses: BASE, SUPER, ULTIMATE, and DIVINE, the last three Grades being respectively abbreviated as SUP, ULT, and DIV.
This concept takes direct inspiration from the "Grade" applied to the Appmon concept from the Digimon franchise; more specifically, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters. Similar to the for , an Upgrade Monster/Card's Grade is found in place of the traditional value.
The BASE Grade is the lowest Grade, in terms of strength. It is also the only Grade not exclusive to Upgrade Monsters. Upgrade Cards of the BASE Grade usually have simple effects, but relatively useful Upgrade Abilities when used for an Upgrade Summon. Upgrade Cards of the BASE Grade are required for the Upgrade Summon of SUPER Upgrade Monsters.
This Grade takes inspiration from the base Grade of Appmon, known as the Standard Grade.
The SUPER (SUP) Grade is the second-lowest Grade in terms of strength, and the lowest possible Grade exclusive to Upgrade Monsters. Upgrade Monsters of this Grade are the easiest and most common ones to be Upgrade Summoned. The stats of theirand Abilities (if any) are among the lines of most generic monsters. For SUPER Upgrade Cards, they are required for the Upgrade Summon of ULTIMATE Upgrade Monsters, and they have an Upgrade Ability that is morbidly stronger than that of BASE Upgrade Cards.
This Grade takes inspiration from the second Grade of Appmon, the Super Grade.
The ULTIMATE (ULT) Grade is the second-strongest Grade, and the highest possible Grade exclusive to Upgrade Cards. Upgrade Monsters are slightly more difficult to Upgrade Summon, and are typically Upgrade Summoned by using a SUPER Upgrade Monster of the same name as a material. (Some Upgrade Monsters have additional benefits if using a SUPER Upgrade Monster as a material.) For ULTIMATE Upgrade Cards, they are required for the Upgrade Summon of DIVINE Upgrade Monsters, and they have an Upgrade Ability that is significantly stronger than that of SUPER Upgrade Cards.
This Grade takes inspiration from the third Grade of Appmon, the Ultimate Grade.
The DIVINE (DIV) Grade is the highest possible Grade for Upgrade Monsters, and the strongest Grade overall. DIVINE Upgrade Monsters are usually the most difficult to Summon, and are typically Upgrade Summoned by using an ULTIMATE Upgrade Monster of the same name as a material. (Like ULTIMATE Upgrade Monsters, DIVINE Upgrade Monsters have additional benefits if using a SUPER or ULTIMATE Upgrade Monster as a material.)
This Grade takes inspiration from the fourth and final Grade of Appmon, the God Grade.
