Distortion Monster

Distortion Monsters (ディストーションモンスター, Disutōshon Monsutā,, abbreviated Ｄディストーションモンスター in card text since Duelist Alliance are new monsters created by Maxus first released in Structure Deck: Arrival of Chronos and are colored Charcoal. These cards are placed in the Extra Deck.

According to Maxus & Yuzuki, Distortion Monsters exist as a result of the bending, warping, creation, and destruction of the time stream. They are said to exist outside of the time stream, hence why they can only be Summoned to the field (being a representation of inside the time stream) when a Phase is Rewritten.
