Annotee

Annotee (pronnounced æ'nəˌteɪ, Japanese: Ａｎ付注 Fuchuu) is a new monster type for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters card game created by Lyris1064. These monsters are colored white with the lines on college-ruled lined paper, and are stored in the Main Deck.

Annotee Monsters have Levels, and they're Summoned by Tributing monsters on the user's field until the Tributed monsters' total Levels exactly equal the Annotee Monster's Level. These Tributes must include at least 1 Copied monster, which is defined as any non-Annotee monster that has activated an effect other than its own, original effect.

Rulings

• Monsters without Levels can be Tributed for an Annotee Summon, but they must also be Copied monsters, and they'll be treated as Level 0 if used for a Annotee Summon.
• Monsters that activate an effect that it copies but already has will still become Inheritor Monsters.

Example

Kindred Alumnus Annotee Dragon: 1+ monsters, including 1+ Inheritor monsters

• Player A has 1 "Infernoid Patrulea" and 1 "Infernoid Antra" in their Deck and controls 1 "Infernoid Patrulea". Player B controls 2 "Marauding Captains" and 1 "Wave-Motion Cannon".
  1. Player A Summons another "Infernoid Decatron" from their hand, face-up.
  2. Player A activates the "Decatron's" effect, sending "Antra" from their Deck to the GY. (Decatron: Level 1 -> 3)
  3. Player A activates "Antra's" effect through "Decatron", targeting and returning 1 of Player B's "Marauding Captains" to their hand.
  4. Player A Tributes "Decatron" and "Patrulea" to Annotee Summon "Kindred Alumnus Annotee Dragon".
     • Since "Decatron" became an Inheritor Annotated Material, Player A can activate "Decatron's" effect through "Kindred Alumnus" at this point, sending "Paltrulea" to the GY. (Kindred Alumnus: Level 7 -> 11)
       • If Player A has "Kindred Alumnus" copy "Patrulea" here, then they can activate "Patrulea's" effect through "Kindred Alumnus", targeting and destroying Player B's "Wave-Motion Cannon".
     • Since "Decatron" became an Inheritor Annotated Material while it had "Antra's" name, Player A can activate "Antra's" effect through "Kindred Alumnus" during their Main Phase, targeting and returning Player B's "Marauding Captain" to their hand.
