Must first be either: Fusion Summoned, Xyz Summoned, or Special Summoned by either: Attaching the above cards from your hand or your side of the field to this card as face-up Xyz Materials (in which case you do not use "Polymerization"), (This is treated as a Fusion Summon.) OR: Using a Rank 4 or lower Beast-Mage-Type Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card is Fusion Summoned, except by its own effect: Attach its Fusion Materials to this card as face-up Xyz Materials. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes 0, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the lost monster's ATK. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Beast-Mage-Type Xyz Monster in your Graveyard, except "Animancer Ivan"; Special Summon that target, and if you do, attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. You can only use this effect of "Animancer Ivan" once per turn.
